under the theme “Strengthening Resilience, Rebuilding Trust”

Singapore, 14 September 2026 — Business China’s flagship bilingual forum, FutureChina Global Forum (FCGF), will convene leaders from business, government, technology and academia in Singapore on 24 and 25 September 2026 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry (Trade), Mr Gan Kim Yong, will be the Guest of Honour for the main Forum on 25 September 2026, along with Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence, Mr Chan Chun Sing, who will participate in a fireside chat on the same day. Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health, Mr Tan Kiat How, will be the Guest of Honour on 24 September 2026.

The Forum will also be attended by Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, Ms Sim Ann, and Senior Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr Desmond Tan, as well as Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Development, Mr Alvin Tan. All three will be helming invitation-only segments.

Organised under the theme “Strengthening Resilience, Rebuilding Trust”, this year’s Forum takes place against a backdrop of geopolitical and economic uncertainty, rapid technological change and diverging approaches to growth and governance. Discussions will examine how countries and businesses can navigate these shifts, adapt to disruption, and sustain the trust and practical cooperation needed for long-term growth. As China enters its 15th Five-Year Plan period, with innovation, industrial upgrading and domestic demand among its key economic priorities, the Forum will also explore how these developments, alongside broader global shifts, may shape opportunities for China, ASEAN and the wider region.

For the first time, the Forum will feature a dedicated AI Track, focusing on what it takes to move from rapid AI development to responsible and trusted adoption at scale. Drawing on China’s experience and perspectives from Singapore and the region, discussions will consider how AI can be developed and deployed in ways that support innovation, strengthen resilience and create new opportunities for growth.

Speakers include Dr Gunjan Bhardwaj (Partex AI); Ms Priscilla Chong (Amazon Web Services); Professor Fan Gang (China Development Institute); Mr Foo Jixun (Granite Asia); Dr He Ruimin (Ministry of Digital Development and Information); Mr Ho Kwon Ping (Banyan Group); Mr Brent Irvin (Tencent); Professor Jia Qingguo (Peking University); Mr Liang Xinjun (Xin Family); Mr Marty Natalegawa (former Indonesian Foreign Minister); Mr Ng Cher Pong (Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore); Professor Simon See (NVIDIA AI Technology Center); Ms Jane Sun (Trip.com Group); Professor Wang Gungwu (National University of Singapore); Mr Zhai Jun (Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue); Mr Daniel Zhang (FirstLight Capital); and Dr Zhang Hongjiang (Tsinghua University). “The global economy is no longer operating from a single playbook. For Singapore, China and the region, resilience will depend not only on adapting to different systems and models, but also on building trust and finding practical ways to work together. FCGF seeks to contribute to this by bringing together diverse perspectives and fostering dialogue on how we can navigate uncertainty, deepen understanding and identify opportunities for cooperation,” said Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Chairman of Business China.

The AI Track will run from 1.00pm to 6.00pm on 24 September 2026. The main Forum will run from 9.00am to 6.00pm on 25 September 2026.
