Zhejiang Businessmen’s Path to Success

Jointly organised by Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Singapore, Business China & Chartered Management Institute Singapore

Enterprises from Zhejiang province account for more than 40% of China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises. This great achievement was brought to light through a seminar jointly organised by the Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business, Business China and Chartered Management Institute Singapore on August 27 2009. Professor Wang Shu Guang, President of the Zhejiang Business Research Institute and a well-known television host, was invited to speak at the seminar.

The seminar, part of the “Business China” series of seminars, was officiated by Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Manpower. Mr Lee joined Professor Wang in the panel discussion.

In his keynote address in Mandarin, “Zhejiang Businessmen’s Path to Success”, Professor Wang outlined the spirit and best practices of Zhejiang businessmen as they progressed from start-ups to public listing, and the assistance received from the provincial government. Professor Wang also proposed the potential areas of collaboration between business leaders of Singapore and Zhejiang.
