About the Business China Youth Leaders Programme

The Youth Leaders Programme (YLP) is designed for young working adults seeking to deepen their understanding of China’s dynamic economic development, geopolitical influence and growing role in global business.

As China continues to shape the future of the international economic landscape, it is essential for young leaders to develop a nuanced understanding of its business environment, political framework and technological advancements.

Programme Objectives

Through a blended format of classroom-based learning, case studies, interactive learning and company visits, YLP empowers participants to effectively navigate the complexities of China’s evolving global influence.

Through YLP, participants will:

• Develop a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, evolving societal values and their impact on business attitudes and strategic decision-making.

• Understand the cultural and institutional factors that shape interpersonal dynamics, business practices and negotiation styles in China.

• Gain insight into China’s economic policies, institutional frameworks, emerging trends, and their implications for global business opportunities.

• Build meaningful professional connections with peers and industry leaders to strengthen their China network.

Target Audience
  • Young Working Adults (preferably) below the age of 35 years old

         (Students are not eligible to participate in YLP)

  • Singapore Citizens or SG Permanent Residents
  • Able to commit to:
    • Pre-trip class-room based learning in Singapore
    • 1 week immersion trip in China
  • Keen interest in enhancing their global leadership capabilities and organisational competitiveness
