About Business Leaders Group

Our division engages and collaborates with Prominent Business Leaders (PBLs), Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and local ‘Young Business Leaders’ (YBLs) in Business China’s network. We also organise the annual ‘Advanced Leaders Programme’ (ALP) which is an apex programme targeting the next generation of business leaders and senior public officers.

This role brings opportunities to engage with a diverse set of exceptionally talented leaders across various industries, from financial, investment, supply chain to cutting-edge technology like AI and biotech, etc. You will be involved in planning and organising a variety of engagement activities, especially fund raising for Business China.

FutureChina (FC)
About FutureChina

The FutureChina (FC) division focuses on trend watching, topical studies and content curation on China’s economy and international relations with Singapore and other countries. It is in charge of curating and delivering the Business China’s annual flagship event – the FutureChina Global Forum (FCGF), an international platform for business leaders and experts to share their geopolitical and economics views and assessments regarding China. The team is also responsible for the Business China Award, which aims to honour outstanding individuals and enterprises for their contributions to Singapore-China relations.

The FC division maintains a strong corporate and government network in Singapore and the region and brings in exclusive value & China’s insights to Business China’s corporate members. The team also conceptualises and implements programmes helmed by Political Office Holders (POHs) and prominent business leaders.

This role allows you to be in the thick of exciting research, analysis and discussions on the current and future developmental trajectory, economic and business trends in China, and with China and Chinese businesses in other countries.

1. Manager/Senior Manager, FutureChina

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and manage the implementation of FC programmes
  2. Research and curate content for the various programmes
  3. Identify, cultivate and secure potential partners and sponsors for programmes
  4. Drive business development, recruitment and marketing of assigned programmes and events
  5. Engage partners for current and new programmes
  6. Drive the corporate membership strategies and implementation
  7. Create overseas engagement opportunities and events to value-add to Singapore-based companies, corporate members and young working adults
  8. Any other tasks, duties or responsibilities designated by Director or CEO
Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin – written and verbal communication skills
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Degree in Business, Marketing, Chinese Studies, Social Science, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, or other relevant disciplines
  3. Good knowledge and interest in China and International relations
  4. At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience or at least 2 years of working experience in research, China-related work and events management, such as organising forums
  5. This is an individual contributor role, although you may lead project teams. Being a self-starter is essential, especially stakeholder/partner engagement/management
  6. Singapore Citizens and Singapore PRs are welcome to apply
About Go East

You(th) are the future

With the rapid changes in China and the world, it is essential for the younger generation to have a global perspective. While we look at the West, we should also have a balanced view by looking to the East, to find the bridge between the two worlds.

The Go East (GE) division (东游记), which literally means “A Journey to the East” in Chinese, is established under Business China to drive this purpose. We develop and execute programmes to nurture a group of Singapore-China savvy talents, by building a unique platform for our youths to enhance their bilingual skills, understand the latest development and trends in China, and develop deeper links between Singapore and China, and beyond. This role will allow you to directly participate in fostering stronger bilingual, bicultural and international mindset and skills amongst our youths.   

We work closely with partners including Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), organisations and passionate individuals who share the same objectives of creating opportunities for our youths.

1. Assistant Manager/Manager YES, Go East

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the entire lifecycle and all aspects of the Youth Interns Exchange Scheme (YES) program, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for interns.
  2. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with local and international organisations to facilitate internship opportunities for participants.
  3. Collaborate with educational institutions and industry partners to align internship opportunities with the academic and professional goals of participants.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the success of the internship program and keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance the program’s relevance and impact.
  5. Work closely with the communications team to promote the Internship Exchange scheme and engage stakeholders through various channels.
  6. Address and resolve any challenges or concerns raised by interns, partner organizations, or other stakeholders promptly and professionally.
  7. Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin – written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Degree in Business, Marketing, Chinese Studies, Social Science, International Relations, or other relevant disciplines.
  3. Good knowledge and interest in China and International relations.
  4. At least 3-10 years of relevant working experience or at least 2 years of working experience in events management, such as organizing conferences, forums, and webinars.
  5. Experience in organising youth development programmes/activities would be advantageous.
  6. This is an individual contributor role, although you may lead project teams. Being a self-starter is essential.
  7. Having a passion for youth development programmes/activities would be highly advantageous.
  8. Familiar with Photoshop, Canvas, or other EDM software(s), would be advantageous but not a must.
  9. Singapore Citizens and Singapore PRs are welcome to apply.

2. Assistant Manager/Manager BCYK, Go East

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Design, planning, implementation of Business China Youth Knowledge (BCYK) programme with reference to the objectives. This includes the programme structure, compulsory and elective modules and certification process.
  2. Liaise with content providers to ensure consistency and accuracy in the quality of their work and be the gatekeeper for the contents for both the compulsory modules and the elective modules.
  3. Take direct charge of some of the modules such as corporate visits and dialogue sessions with industry experts. This includes liaising with schools to organise and run the events and coordinating with different corporations and organisations and industry experts.
  4. Review the programme on a regular basis to make sure that it remains updated and relevant to the times, which includes planning and conducting surveys and checks to improve the quality and effectiveness of the various modules and analysing feedback on various modules.
  5. Oversee the production of publicity materials and event collaterals.
  6. Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management.
