On 14 May 2011, Saturday, National University of Singapore Department of Chinese Studies organised a JC seminar titled “The pulse of China: Challenges faced by China’s younger generations”. The seminar was supported by Business China. Speaking at the seminar was Prof Zheng Yong Nian, Director of East Asian Institute(NUS), Dr Liang Yong, Teacher-in-charge of China Studies in Chinese Curriculum, Hwa Chong Institution and Mr Koh Chin Yee, General Manager, Business China. Business China Chairman & Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations President Mr Chua Thian Poh, was invited to be the guest-of-honour. During the welcome speech, he encouraged the students to participate in China-related courses and activities.
