Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Gan Kim Yong graced the Spring Reception on the first day of the Lunar New Year as the Guest of Honour. The event was jointly organised by Business China (BC) and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry
In his speech, he urged businesses to stay agile, nimble and resilient like those born in the year of the Wood Snake, so as to leverage opportunities brought about by the region’s development.
Also addressing the gathering of over 300 business leaders, ambassadors, and diplomats, BC Chairman Mr Lee Yi Shyan expressed his gratitude for support to BC in the past year, and wished everyone a rejuvenating Year of the Snake by drawing wisdom from tradition, while leaping forward with innovation.
The Spring Reception was also attended by Business China Adviser Minister Chan Chun Sing, Minister Edwin Tong, SMS Sim Ann, SMS Tan Kiat How, SMS Low Yen Ling, MOS Gan Siow Huang, Mayor Denise Phua, and Business China Board Director, MP Tin Pei Ling.
