At the Singapore – China Youth Forum 2025, 600 bright young minds from both countries came together to mark a meaningful milestone — 35 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China.
From speeches by our Guests-of-Honour — including Senior Minister of State and Business China (BC) Board Director Tan Kiat How, BC CEO Kwek Poh Heok, Principal and CEO of Singapore Polytechnic Soh Wai Wah and representatives from the Chinese Embassy and Shandong University — to vibrant cultural performances, the forum was a celebration of friendship and shared hopes for the future.
SMS Tan said that, beyond official government engagements, people-to-people ties are just as important. It is the vibrant exchanges among our people — especially students, that build friendship, trust and mutual understanding.
