Nominations Now Open for Business China Awards 2025

CELEBRATING 35 YEARS OF SINGAPORE-CHINA DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS, HONOURING EXCELLENCE IN SINGAPORE-CHINA TIES 

SINGAPORE, 24 February 2025 – Business China Awards 2025 is now open for nominations till 15 April 2025. 

The biennial Business China Awards (BCA), incepted in 2010, aims at honouring outstanding businessmen, entrepreneurs, professionals and organisations for their successes and contributions to Singapore-China relations. The upcoming Business China Awards 2025 will be its twelfth edition and continues to recognise exemplary role models, while promoting bilingualism and biculturalism in Singapore. 

The three categories of the Business China Awards are: 

  • Business China Excellence Award 
  • Business China Enterprise Award 
  • Business China Young Achiever Award 

 

Besides being highly successful in their respective domains, the Awards recipients have demonstrated continued efforts and helped deepen relations between Singapore and China through their initiatives. Business China Awards 2023’s recipients were Mr Roland Ng, Managing Director & Group CEO, Tat Hong Holdings and Immediate Past President, Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Excellence Award), SSTEC (Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co., Ltd) (Enterprise Award) and Mr Jeffrey Tiong, founder and CEO, Patsnap (Young Achiever Award). The BCA 2023 Awards Ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour Deputy Prime Minister Mr Heng Swee Keat. 

Chairman of the BCA judging panel, Mr Chia Kim Huat, Regional Head of Rajah & Tann Singapore’s Corporate and Transactional group said: “Since its inception in 2010, the Business China Awards have recognised outstanding individuals and enterprises who have contributed significantly to the strengthening of Singapore-China relations and promotion of bilingualism and biculturalism in Singapore. As we celebrate 35 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China, we invite nominations for the various categories of awards to recognise exceptional talents and organisations to commemorate this important milestone, and to inspire greater and stronger collaboration between both countries.” 

Chairman of Business China, Mr Lee Yi Shyan emphasised the significance of the Awards: “This year we are launching the 12th Business China Awards in the midst of celebrating the 35th anniversary of Singapore-China diplomatic relations. Past recipients, both enterprises and individuals, have been luminaries in Singapore-China cooperation, making exceptional contributions to economic and cultural exchanges between the two nations. Their achievements have highlighted to younger generations the importance of mastering bilingualism and biculturalism.”

All nominations should reach Business China no later than 15 April, 2025 (Tuesday), 2359 (SGT). 

Nominations are open to residents of Singapore or China (Excellence and Young Achiever Awards) and organisations established in Singapore or China (Enterprise Award). 

The results of the 2025 Business China Awards will be announced in September 2025 during the Awards Ceremony.
