FutureChina Series | Decoding China’s Two Sessions 2026

As China’s growth model evolves, its economic engagement with Southeast Asia is also being reshaped, opening up new opportunities for businesses and investors across the region. This was highlighted by Business China CEO Ms Kwek Poh Heok at our Decoding China’s Two Sessions 2026: The 15th Five-Year Plan.

Co-organised by Business China and Lianhe Zaobao, the session unpacked key policy signals from China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the evolving economic synergy between China and Southeast Asia. From advancing technological self-reliance to driving new quality productive forces, these shifts are reshaping how our regions connect and collaborate.

The event attracted over 200 participants and featured a distinguished line-up of speakers from academia and business. The session was moderated by Associate Editor of Lianhe Zaobao, Ms Han Yong Hong.

As China’s next phase of development takes shape, Business China will continue to foster deeper exchanges and stronger connections between Singapore, China and the region. We thank all speakers and participants for contributing to a meaningful exchange of perspectives.
