FutureChina Global Forum 2011 China in the Next Phase: Marching to A New Drumbeat

With the commencement of the 12th Five-Year Plan and the generational leadership change in 2012, China is definitely entering a new phase. She will continue to shape the world while being shaped, inevitably, by forces from both external and within. What should we expect from China in the coming years? How will this impact our dealing with China? Building on the success of the inaugural meeting last year, Business China will hold for the second year, FutureChina Global Forum 2011. FutureChina Global Forum 2011 will address these issues, centred around the theme “China in the Next Phase: Marching to A New Drumbeat”.

More than 40 international guest speakers from diverse fields and 300 senior business executives, public personalities, top experts, global thought leaders will gather in Singapore to discuss relevant China developments and issues in the 5 orientations: politics & society, business & economy, science & technology, arts & culture, global relations. The forum will be held from 11-12 July 2011 at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.

Similar to last year, Business China is honoured to have Former Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, currently the Senior Advisor of GIC, as a keynote speaker again. He will speak at the dinner-dialogue on 11 July 2011. FutureChina Global Forum 2011 also features many authoritative voices on China, and from China, including Tharman Shanmugaratnam (Singapore Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Finance and Manpower),SJ. Stapleton Roy (Former U.S. Ambassador to China and Singapore), Li Jiange (Chairman of China International Capital Corporation), Dr Christian Murck (President of AmCham China) and Prof Akihiko Tanaka (Managing Director & Executive Vice President of University of Tokyo).
