Business China partnered China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City to co-organise the 8th China-Singapore Knowledge Forum (CSKF) 2021 on 20 October 2021. The theme for this year’s forum was “Fostering New ‘Dual Circulation’ Development Paradigm, Exploring New Opportunities for China-Singapore Collaboration”. For the first time, it was organised in a hybrid format consisting of physical and virtual components, gathering distinguished government and enterprise representatives, experts, and youth leaders to share their views on dual circulation development and experiences in Singapore-China collaboration.
Business China CEO Ms Tin Pei Ling was invited to speak at the keynote presentation and the panel discussion. During the keynote presentation of “Optimising Collaboration Potential, Building Shared Future”, Ms Tin shared with the audience on Business China’s three key strategies to deepen Singapore-China relations as well as promoting bilateral cooperation in different areas.
On the panel of “Exploring New Opportunities for China-Singapore Collaboration in light of the Dual Circulation Paradigm”, Ms Tin spoke on how despite the ongoing pandemic situation, China’s economic prospects are still bright, and enterprises have room for development under the Dual Circulation Paradigm. Foreign investment flow into China increased, contributing to her internal circulation. Concurrently, China continues to invest overseas and “going out” (“走出去”), contributing to the external circulation.
The forum attracted speakers from China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Group (CSSD), Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham), Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment & Development Co., Ltd. (SSTEC) , China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity Administrative Bureau and Shenzhen BEEPLUS Technology Holding Group Co., Ltd etc.
