On 7 March 2025, 23 senior leaders across private and public sectors in Singapore gathered to embark on the ALP 2025 journey together.
The theme of this year’s progamme is Decoding China’s New Phase of Growth & Innovations, which empowers participants to identify and seize opportunities in the Chinese market.
In his opening remarks, Mr Ho Chee Hin, reflected the evolving profile of ALP participants since 2012—from primary entrepreneurs, especially the second generation of business families to a diverse mix of business leaders and professionals. As China’s economic landscape continues to shift, participants are increasingly focused on its technological transformation, the global expansion of Chinese firms, and its political economy. He also noted that this year’s record post-COVID intake underscores the sustained interests of Singapore society and business community in gaining a deeper understanding of China.
Through an engaging icebreaker session led by ALP faculty Dr Koh Chaik Ming, participants forged new connections while gaining insights into the upcoming academic segment and the China immersion trip. They also shared their aspirations for the journey ahead.
The evening ended with a cocktail networking session, where new participants and ALP alumni mingled over drinks and meaningful conversations.
