FUTURECHINA GLOBAL FORUM 2014: CHINA AT THE CROSSROADS: THE WAY FORWARD
– Leading international experts on China issues convene in Singapore to provide an insider’s perspective on China’s wave of reforms and the corresponding impact on its future outlook.
One year into the Xi Jinping-Li Keqiang regime, China has increasingly placed its priorities on issues such as systemic corruption, market liberalization, reenergizing the economy, social discontent and cross-border relations, amidst an uncertain global outlook. The FutureChina Global Forum 2014 will provide a timely assessment of China’s course against the backdrop of the recently concluded Third Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCPC). Held on 17 and 18 July, 2014 at The Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, the Forum will feature 17 plenary sessions and panel discussions. More than 350 senior business executives, public personalities, top experts and global policy makers are expected to gather at the Forum to exchange perspectives on hot-button issues pertaining to China.
Singapore’s Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong will be gracing the Gala Dinner on 17 July as the Keynote speaker for the Dinner Dialogue. The illustrious list of speakers also includes Emeritus Senior Minister Mr Goh Chok Tong; Mr Zeng Peiyan, Former Vice-Premier of China; Mr Jin Liqun, Chairman of China International Capital Corporation; Ms Zhu Yanlai, daughter of China’s former Premier Zhu Rongji and Deputy Chief Executive of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited; Mr Paul Haenle, Director of Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy and Mr Christopher K. Johnson, Senior Advisor and Freeman Chair in China Studies, Center for Strategic & International Studies, as well as government officials, business leaders, academia, cultural personalities and opinion leaders from Greater China, Singapore, the United States, Asia and Europe.
Currently into its 5th year, the FutureChina Global Forum (FCGF) is a high-level China-centric forum established in Singapore by Business China since 2010. An independent platform that is bilingual and very interactive, FCGF creates opportunities for renowned thought leaders and forum participants from all over the world to gather and share their insights and candid views on China’s ever-changing landscape.
