The FutureChina Global Forum is a high-level China-centric forum established in Singapore by Business China since 2010. An independent platform that is interactive and bilingual, FCGF provides a holistic perspective of China’s fast evolving socio-economic landscape, and goes far beyond the usual discussions on China’s developments. The Forum also offers exclusive networking opportunities with business leaders and China experts from all over the world.

FCGF 2015, themed “Opportunities Amidst China’s Rebalancing”, is a timely assessment of China’s current course, reflecting the fact that while the economic restructuring seems to be leading to a significant moderation in the pace of growth, this also gives rise to a wave of fresh opportunities in the new growth sectors.

The two-day Forum kick-started with the Opening Plenary session helmed by Mr Tung Chee Hwa, Prof Justin Lin and Dr Huang Yukon on “Navigating the economic slowdown”. Other plenary sessions and panel discussions will examine topics such as the US-China-Japan strategic triangle and its impact on the region, the prospects and challenges of China’s State-Owned Enterprises, China’s entrepreneurial surge and how a new generation of companies are beginning to reshape the business landscape and the “One Belt One Road” initiative.

Mr Chua Thian Poh, Chairman of Business China, said: “Globally, everyone has always been very concerned about China’s developments as its future directions will have great global impact. We believe that the rise of a stable and peaceful China, and her successful integration into the global community, is definitely favourable for Asia and the world.”
