The delegation of Business China Advanced Leaders Programme (ALP) 2019 reached Foshan on the fifth day of their learning journey on 19 April 2019 and visited the largest home appliances manufacturer in China, Midea Group. Chairman and President of Midea Group, Mr Paul Fang Hongbo received the delegation and shared the story of Midea transforming from a traditional company to an innovative high-tech company. In recent years, the Group has been constantly transforming and innovating, moving into robotics and automation. It bought over German robot maker Kuka two years ago.
After visiting Midea Group, the delegation had local cuisine in Shunde and was entertained by local Wing Chun masters displaying their delicate and swift moves. Thereafter, the delegation moved on to Zhuhai and was hosted by founder, Chairman and CEO of Yanlord Land Goup Limited, Mr Zhong Sheng Jian. A Board member of Business China, Mr Zhong in his welcome address urged the delegates to make use of Business China as a platform to discover more opportunities.
