Advanced Leaders Programme 2019 ends on a high note while exploring business opportunities in the Greater Bay Area

On the afternoon of 21 April 2019, the participants of the Advanced Leaders Programme 2019 visited the Tai O Fishing Village and the Tai O Heritage Hotel. Tai O Heritage Hotel is operated by Hong Kong Heritage Conservation Foundation Ltd., a non-profit organisation established by Sino Group. The delegation was received by Sino Group General Manager Ms Nikki Ng who introduced the development of the Tai O Heritage Hotel and the corporate strategy of Sino Group to the members of the delegation.

Later in the evening, the delegation had the privilege of hearing from Mr Richard Li, Chairman and Chief Executive of Pacific Century Group at the Marriott Hotel in Central Hong Kong. Mr Li shared his views on regional economic developments and trends as well as the prospects for the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). CEO of Business China, Ms Tin Pei Ling in her opening remarks noted that, she hoped there would be more collaboration between Hong Kong and Singapore business communities and explore the potential of the GBA together.

On 22 April, the last day of the learning journey, the delegation attended a Brunch Seminar on the “Future of Fintech and Blockchain in the GBA” organised by the Fintech Association of Hong Kong. The Payment Committee Co-Chair of the Fintech Association Mr Andy Wong welcomed the delegation and gave an brief introduction of the developments of fintech in Hong Kong. The delegates had a lively and fruitful discussion with the members of the Association, ending the GBA learning trip on a high note.
