Business China Chairman Mr Chua Thian Poh, was the guest of honour of the 4th China Studies Seminar organised by Yishun Junior College and Ministry of Education. In his speech, Mr Chua shared his thoughts on the significance of China to Singapore and to today’s youth particularly.
He urged students to improve their China quotient (knowledge of China affairs) through Business China’s youth-oriented activities as understanding of China’s history, politics and culture to modern affairs will stand them in a good stead.
Some 500 students attended the seminar. About 10 student groups shared their research findings with the participants in 2 separate English and Chinese sessions. This is the 4th year running of the seminar. The theme this year is “Emergence of China: Opportunities and Challenges”.Business China is the supporting organisation for the seminar.
