尊敬的大会主宾张志贤副总理，

各位国会议员，外交使节，
各位来宾、女士们、先生们；
大家上午好！
1. 首先，我们要感谢张志贤副总理，百忙之中，拨冗为2017年的慧眼中国论坛主持开幕。我们也特别欢迎，远道而来的三位贵宾，他们分别是海峡两岸关系协会陈德铭会长，中国广西自治区蓝天立常务副主席以及中国科学院张杰副院长。在此，我谨代表通商中国全体同仁，对大家的光临，表示热烈的欢迎和亲切的问候！
2. 和往年不同，今年的“慧眼中国环球论坛”和“通商中国奖”颁奖礼将同时举行。我们也很荣幸的邀请到通商中国赞助人、新加坡李显龙总理，出席明晚的颁奖礼和闭幕式对话会。通商中国10周年庆典因此而增添了隆重而特别的意义。
3. 回顾过去10年，世界发生了根本性的变化！远至2008年的世界金融危机、货币贬值的竞争，近至民族主义和保护主义的抬头、恐怖主义的渗透，给原本停滞不前的世贸组织、扩大中的贫富差距、 脆弱的全球化经济，注入了更多不利的因素。欣慰的是， 亚洲， 包括了东北亚、东南亚和南亚，总体上都保持着可观的经济增长，人民生活相对稳定。
4. 然而，中国的经济在过去10年里却稳中求进，一枝独秀。2010年，她超越日本成为世界第二大经济体系。2014年，她的对外投资总额有史以来第一次超越引进外资。截止2016年底，中国已是世界上120多个国的最大贸易伙伴。今年，出游海外的中国游客预计超过1亿2千万人。在许多行业领域，譬如汽车、手机、网购等，她已称为世界最大的市场。随着阿里巴巴的世界上第一所“无人超市”7月9日在杭州开幕，微信支付，蚂蚁金服等世界首创，中国即将在“世界工厂”的雅号之上，加添“世界市场”和“创新天堂”的美誉。许多经济学家也预测，中国将在未来十年里成为世界上最大的经济体系。亚洲将会迈入一个前所未见的经济新纪元。
5. 自从中国推出了“一带一路”构想之后，这个多边合作的架构已经获得多个沿线国家和地区的积极反应。新加坡也是最早支持这个合作机制的国家之一。今年2月，张志贤副总理到访北京主持第13届新中双边合作联合委员会，会上也讨论了如何推动衔接西部重庆和西南部广西北部湾的“南向通道”，把路上丝绸之路和海上丝绸之路连接起来。5月中旬，国家发展部黄循财部长参加了在北京举行的“一带一路”国际高峰论坛，新中两国也同意在“一带一路”倡议下打造互联互通、金融合作及第三方合作等三个重要平台。6月下旬，尚达曼副总理在大连举行的达沃斯会议期间，也拜会了中国李克强总理，重申新加坡愿意和中国一起努力，加强东盟与中国的合作。7月初，李显龙总理也在G20峰会期间与中国习近平主席进行会晤，两位领导人讨论新中如何合作以推行一带一路倡议，包括已在金融服务和航空连接上取得不俗进展的重庆互联互通项目。两国认为，一带一路倡议不仅对周边国家有利，也可加强中国对全球化和区域发展的贡献。
6. 因此，我们将今年“慧眼中国环球论坛”的主题，定为“持续深化合作：迈向未来经济，共建一带一路”。接下来这两天，我们汇集了来自欧美和亚太地区，包括新加坡、中国、东南亚等各国的中国课题专家、企业高管，通过13个主场和分场，为这场高端论坛，进行热烈的讨论。在这个重要的时间点上，让我们一同关注中国未来的走向，在这两天的讨论中，展开积极的、有实质效益的交流大会。
7. 展望未来，通商中国计划打造更多“新中通”的人脉网络。今天，我们很荣幸跟我们11个合作伙伴， 包括广西政府、中科院的机构、领军企业、行业和区域组织，在部长们的见证下，签署框架协议。 我们将竭尽所能，为新加坡年轻一代提供更多学习中国经济，社会，人文发展的机会。这也是当时李光耀先生成立通商中国的宗旨。
8. 最后，我仅代表通商中国，由衷感谢各位论坛的赞助机构 、演讲嘉宾，支持和参加这个年度盛会。你们多年的坚持和参与，让广大会员群体受益。我们将再接再厉，为创会宗旨努力。

10. Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, Ministers, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, on behalf of Business China, I am pleased to extend my warmest welcome to all of you for attending the 8th edition of the FutureChina Global Forum.
11. This year, Business China celebrates our 10th anniversary. For the first time, we are also combining both our annual flagship FutureChina Global Forum and the Business China Awards into a prestigious and historical event to mark the special significance of the occasion.
12. Business China was formed to provide a platform to help Singaporeans in various leadership positions to better understand Chinese culture, society norms and business practices. The late Mr Lee kuan Yew believed that Singaporeans could do well in a rising China if we were able to leverage our cultural affinity with them.
13. We are pleased to announce therefore that we are expanding our partnership network further, by signing 10 Memorandums of Understanding with various partners, including government bodies, financial institutions, industry associations, regional organisations and universities to provide opportunities for mutual exchange, internships and networking. We believe the best way to understand an economy and society is by immersion. Living and working in China will help Singaporeans understand them. And vice versa. Afterall, personal friendship and bonding, as seen in our joint project in SIP and other examples, is the basis for sustainable and long term partnership.
14. Over these two days, we will have the benefits of listening and perhaps arguing with close to 70 industry leaders and experts over 13 plenary and parallel sessions under the forum theme of ‘Strengthening Partnerships: in the Future Economy, Belt and Road’.
15. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors and partners for your strong and unwavering support in making this Forum and many Business China activities possible. I would also like to especially thank DPM Teo and Ministers for gracing this occasion with your presence.
