Business China Chairman ushered in the Year of the Rat with Shaanxi Association
Business China’s Chairman Mr Lee Yi Shyan was honoured to be invited as the guest-of-honour of Shaanxi Association’s Chinese New Year celebration event. More than 300 people from the local Chinese community and friends from Shaanxi Association attended the event and celebrated the new year.
In his speech, he introduced Business China’s upcoming events as well as his GRC. With the activities Business China organises, Singapore can further enhance its position as the economic centre, a melting pot of cultures and the bridge between Singapore, China and the rest of the world. The increase in connectivity and communication will also deepen the relationship between Singapore and China.
At the celebration event, Mr Lee gave out the appointment certificates to the newly appointed council members, encouraging them to organise more activities that help friends from Shaanxi to understand Singapore comprehensively. He also recognises the bridging role that Shaanxi Association has played.
Mr Lee was also presented with a token of appreciation by the Chairman of the Shaanxi Association after presenting the appointment letters to the new council members.
Before the celebration ended, Mr Lee sang a song with all the newly appointment council members, wishing them a better future as they usher in the new year. Mr Lee wished all friends from local Chinese community and Shaanxi Association a Happy Year of the Rat that is abundant with wealth and wonderful memories.
