Business China CEO shares about ASEAN collaboration in BRI
On 15 January 2020, Business China CEO Ms Tin Pei Ling was invited to speak at the 8th Innovation and Capital Forum from International Perspective held at Beijing Four Seasons Hotel. The event is organised by Zhongguancun Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (ZVCA) and the forum topic of 2020 is “China needs the world and the world needs China”. Participants ranging from famous investors, entrepreneurs, specialists, scholars and officials were present at this high-level forum to discuss popular topics such as the latest developments, challenges and opportunities of Chinese and Global Economy.
During the afternoon roundtable discussion “Mutual Benefit and Win-Win for the ASEAN Countries and China”, Ms Tin shared her insights with 300 professionals from various industries on pertinent issues on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) such as Singapore’s role in the BRI, how ASEAN can collaborate and work together for BRI, as well as the challenges and opportunities for businesses. She highlighted the importance of free trade and open economies that will be essential for BRI development and international collaboration.
The panel, comprising of government representatives and corporate leaders, had insightful exchanges and ended the conference on a positive note.
