The dialogue opened with Chairman of Business China, Mr Lee Yi Shyan, giving his opening remarks and introducing SM Teo's illustrious political career spanning 28 years. Mr Lee also shared that SM Teo has been very supportive of Business China events over the years.
After which, SM Teo took to the rostrum to deliver his keynote address, in which he delved deep into the shifting global order and offered his advice on three core principles to navigate current global challenges.
These involve bolstering connectivity, sharing knowledge as well as strengthening trust.
After SM Teo’s sharing, the floor was opened to the attendees for Q&A.There was a deep and substantive exchange of opinion between the attendees as they raised pertinent questions on multi-polarity, in the Q&A session moderated by CEO of Business China, Ms Tin Pei Ling.
The event ended on a high note with the presentation of the couplet to SM Teo, authored by Professor Choo Thiam Siew.
The event saw about 80 attendees which includes prominent business leaders, ALP alumni as well as BC members.
