Business China CEO speaks on Singapore’s Economic Developments and Business China’s Role Moving Forward

On 18 November 2020, Business China CEO Ms Tin Pei Ling was invited again as the guest speaker to the Second China-Singapore Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Singapore organised by the China Enterprises Association (Singapore).

During the opening ceremony, Ms Tin delivered a speech on Singapore’s economic developments such as the recent signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)  as well as the Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Digital Economy Agreements (DEAs) with various countries and the benefits to enterprises which were looking at overseas expansion and enhance Singapore’s role as a multi-faceted economic platform. She also shared on Business China’s achievements and strategic directions. Lastly, she took the opportunity to thank China Enterprises Association (Singapore) for their strong support towards Business China’s events and initiatives and look forward to deepening the collaboration with CEA (Singapore) through the MOU signing in 2019 related to economic, cultural, education, and people to people exchanges.   

Ms Tin was also invited to witness the Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony by China Enterprises Association (Singapore) and Singapore Manufacturing Federation.

The event was held both physically and virtually, with attendees comprising of business people from the trade and investment authorities of both  Singapore and China, as well as heads of business associations.
