The three subtopics under this building block will cover the current Web 3.0 financial technology such as Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and stablecoins, as well as envision the future of the banking landscape shaped by decentralised finance (DeFi) innovations, such as dApps and assets custodian.

With the emergence of Web 3.0 innovations, this panel will explore the role of these innovations as a possible technological bridge between traditional businesses and the virtual economy. Speakers will discuss:

• How could traditional businesses effectively harness the perks of tokenising their products and services?
• To what extent will transparency of transactions be a concern/an opportunity for businesses adapting Web 3.0 products such as CBDC and stablecoins which are decentralised in nature?
• How will these digital assets be influenced by economic factors such as inflation and rising of interest rates by the U.S. Federal Reserve System, and how could businesses be better prepared?

This panel will revolve around the question of “How can users be encouraged to interact in the Metaverse safely?”.
